To instill a basic level of financial knowledge among students, Combrosia, the Commerce Subject Society of Motilal Nehru College, University of Delhi, performed a Nukkad Natak on the topic ‘Financial Literacy’ on 16th February 2023 in college quadrangle.
The aim was to spread awareness among students and staff on significance of saving and investing.
The Nukkad Natak was divided into four scenes and these four scenes portrayed the importance of four different types of investments, namely, Mediclaim. Gold & Gold Bonds, Real Estate and Mutual Funds. The play was made attractive by using props, songs, music and rhyming dialogues.The Nukkad Natak was well-received by the audience and the message was effectively conveyed. Everybody appreciated the efforts of the Commerce Society in spreading awareness about financial literacy. The Natak concluded with a message to be financially responsible.
On February 17, 2023, an online workshop on Data Analytics was conducted by Combrosia, The Commerce Subject Society of Motilal Nehru College, University of Delhi, at 4:00 P.M. on Zoom platform by a prominent data analytics expert, Mr. Siddharth Rathore. He is an assistant professor of Economics in Gargi College, University of Delhi. Apart from teaching in Delhi University, he is also a visiting professor at LBSNAA where he trains IAS/PS/IFS & Civil Services Probationary Officers in their Foundation Course.
The aim of this workshop was to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to analyze data using Microsoft Excel. The webinar lasted for approximately one and a half hour and attracted over 100 participants from the commerce department of the college.The presenter covered a range of topics related to data analytics in Excel, including data formatting, cleaning, analysis, visualization, macros, and advanced functions. The webinar provided participants with a comprehensive overview of data analytics in Excel and how to use Excel’s tools and functions to analyze and interpret data effectively.
The participants gave a positive feedback of the workshop, stating that it was informative and engaging. They appreciated the presenter’s clear explanations and demonstrations of Excel’s tools and functions.
To commemorate an event that lights up every Indian heart, Combrosia, The Commerce Subject Society of Motilal Nehru College, University of Delhi organized an online session on the occasion of the Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July 2022.
The event was graced by an Ex-Army officer, Captain Navin Gulia. He is an author, an orator and a social worker.
The session was attended by almost 130 participants including students from various departments as well as the faculty.
The speaker shared a few of his anecdotes during the webinar. He talked about his relations with his fellow army officials and described how their brotherhood in the army overcame their cultural differences. Everyone had a great experience and the speaker instilled a tinch of patriotism and nationalism among everyone.
On 9th September 2022, Combrosia is collaboration with Clever Champs Pvt. Ltd conducted an open desk information seminar for various Post Graduate Courses and Universities.
Representatives from many universities were present in the session to understand the skills and interests of the students and guide them accordingly to the best course and university for their future.
The students found the session to be greatly informative and eye-opening and were actively participating in it.
Combrosia, under the Aegis of IQAC conducted a Career Oriented Seminar Series on 3-4 November 2022.
Various institutes and coaches guided the students on various lucrative career options likes UPSC, CAT, Social work, CLAT etc. They provided the students with in-depth understanding on how to prepare for such exams, the strategies that need to be followed, the mindset that needs to be maintained and the tips and tricks of standing out amongst the countless others writing such exams.
The students were active throughout the various session and found it be a life-changer.
