Annual Commerce Fest

Commerce Buzz is the annual flagship event of Combrosia : The Commerce Subject Society of Motilal Nehru College, University of Delhi, where, numerous fun- filled events with lots of thrill, opportunities and knowledge are organized. It is one of the largest undergraduate commerce fest across the entire University Of Delhi. With prizes worth Rs 18,50,000 and cash prizes of Rs 1,10,000, Commerce Buzz’23 successfully attracted a huge crowd from various colleges. The two-day event was organized on 28th and 29th March 202. It provided a perfect platform for all the students to showcase their skills and win exciting prizes.

Who doesn’t love solving mysteries? The Enchanted Quest, the most thrilling and enjoyable treasure hunt was organized by Combrosia in Commerce Buzz’22.

Teams were given unprecedented challenges to find and decipher the clues and riddles that led them to the Final Treasure. They had to compete against one another with their combined expertise, wit and teamwork in order to be victorious.

It consisted of four rounds:

ROUND 1: Scavenger hunt

It was the preliminary elimination round in which various tasks were given and these tasks were allotted some points. Top 16 teams completing the tasks with highest points were eligible for Round 2.

ROUND 2: Code Hunt

In this round, teams had to play various games to decode a code.

ROUND 3: Escape room

In this round, finding the graves were the way out.

ROUND 4: The Ultimate Treasure Hunt

Four teams came up to this round. The clues were hidden within the entire college campus.

 

 

Cricket is that religion which gets fans together like no other. To embrace this religion, CCL’23 was organized in Commerce Buzz’23.

The event consisted of three rounds played in teams of 2 to 4 players.

ROUND 1: THE QUESTIONNAIRE ROUND

This round examined the fascination of contestants for cricket by testing their facts through a questionnaire.

ROUND 2: THE QUIZ

The second round was the quiz round among the teams that qualified the first round.

ROUND 3: THE AUCTION ROUND

Cricket without an auction round sounds incomplete. So, the final round was the most fun and the intriguing round, the auction round, where, 8 teams, that qualified the second round, bid for their favorite players to form a team of 11 players.

‘Justice consists not in being neutral between fair and unfair, but in finding out fair practice and upholding it.’

Combrosia gave the opportunity to experience and differentiate between just and unjust by organizing the event, MUKADMA.

Each team comprised of two individuals. The event was divided into four rounds.

ROUND 1 : Preliminary Round

There were 11 teams and the teams had to play the games to answer the questions . There were 5 games and 4 questions.

ROUND 2 : Murder Mystery

In a mystery room filled with evidence, blood, and a corpse, they had to find the culprit.

The first one to solve the mystery gets an advantage for the next and last round.

Two teams went ahead to Round 2.

ROUND 3 : Mock Trial

A case was provided to both the teams. The winner of Round 2 got an advantage to choose whether they wanted to be in favor or against the case.

Both the teams acknowledged and brought the facts in front of the judges, and the team in favor of the case marked their victory.

Does a Bollywood dialogue strike a chord in your heart? Does your brain complete a dialogue before it is even said?

Combrosia knew it already and brought the event, ‘Filmistaan’, for all its film-a-holic friends.

No restrictions were made for the participants. Everyone could participate. The only restriction was that there would be no team exceeding three individuals in it.

The event was subdivided into three rounds:

ROUND 1: Preliminary Round

This was a questionnaire round where more than 20 teams competed to reach the TOP 9.

ROUND 2: Promote an Object

In five minutes, each team had to advertise the object provided to them, create a brand for it, a company, and a tagline, but with a twist.

Each team was allotted a genre, using the maximum Bollywood inferences possible, and they were asked to advertise it for a maximum of 5 minutes.

ROUND 3: The Bidding Round

Teams were asked to bid for their favourite characters. The teams were supposed to use the characters and their genres from the last round to formulate a skit, play or simply narrate by changing/modifying/extending the story of how these characters ended up in their respective movies.

‘Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress ; working together is success.’ Mergenture was all about testing your business acquisition skills by combining two companies and creating a single one.

Teams were required to prove that how, by merging together, creatively and innovatively, a company can produce the top leading product in the market.It was a 3-round event:

ROUND 1: Questionnaire Round

The questionnaire consisted some basic questions to test the knowledge.

ROUND 2: This round was the auction and acquisition round of the companies.

ROUND 3: In this round, teams had to merge the companies and design a brand new innovative product.

Quiz – O – Della, the name is enough for its explanation.

COMBROSIA organized one of its most insightful event in Commerce Buzz, where, knowledge, smart answers and time played the most important role.

The competition consisted of 4 rounds, each being an eliminatory one. The teams of 2 or 3 members were allowed.

ROUND 1: Preliminary Round

Teams were given questionnaire to test their knowledge. Teams qualifying in this round went to the second round.

ROUND 2: Word Search Round

Teams were given questions on the basis of which they were asked to look for answers in the given word search. Teams with most of the answers being correct were sent forward to the next round.

ROUND 3: UNO Round Teams were given four power cards with which they had an advantage in answering the questions which were asked to them from the categories selected.

ROUND 4: Buzzer Round

This was the last and final round. This was played between two teams. The team with most correct answers was declared the winner.

Everyone knows a politician’s promises. But, what’s next? A Majority and an Opposition.

Combrosia made a platform available for all the political enthusiasts to relish the hustle of their favorite parliamentary leaders.

The event had two rounds:

ROUND 1: The Qualifier Round

Participating teams had a tough competition to qualify for the next round.

ROUND 2: Mock Parliament

Right from the table bangs to supporting your party, this round had it all. The TOP 5 teams debated to draw out the best.

“In photography, there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.” To witness things beyond reality, Combrosia, organized the event Snap-On, which gave the shutterbugs a chance to show the world they see through their cameras.

This event consisted of three rounds:

ROUND 1

Round one was an online preliminary round based on a theme. The participants had to upload a photo in the forms provided to them.

ROUND 2

In the next round, contestants were given topics based on a chit system. They had to showcase their photography skills according to the topics allocated.

ROUND 3

The final round was to weave a story by capturing it in 3 pictures related to the theme given to them.

‘Share Bazaar’ is something our parents have always been skeptical of. Whereas, on the other side, various leading influencers keep on poking you to preach the ‘POWER OF COMPOUNDING’. Well, Combrosia pierced right through this dilemma and organized Stockathon to give a taste of the stock market to the contestants.

The event had 2 rounds.

ROUND 1 – The Qualifier Round

More than 30 teams tried to reach the top 8 by filling out a questionnaire based on stocks.

Round 2 – The Mock Stock Round

Here, in this round, the ‘Time’ was ‘Money’.

5 Days – 10 minutes – 10L Capital (hypothetical) – and some great analyzing skills, these things were all that were required for this event.

This event definitely planted the next Rakesh Jhunjhunwala for Indian Stock Markets.

A brand for a company is like a reputation for a person

Brand Bazaar, as the name says, was all about commercials and brands and the stories behind them.

This event was conducted in four rounds. Teams of 2-3 members were allowed.

ROUND 1: THE QUESTIONNAIRE ROUND

This round was a world of questions, puzzles, jiggles, and much more about brands and advertisements.

 

ROUND 2: PICTURE WITH YOUR FAVOURITE BRAND

This round required participants to roam around and get themselves clicked with any brand found anywhere in the campus.

ROUND 3: BRAND TAMBOLA

This round comprised various brands chits, numbers and questions associated with those brands.

ROUND 4: ADVERTISE YOUR PRODUCT

Everyone was allotted a product which they had to advertise.
