The Speaker's Conclave

Inspiron is the annual flagship event of Combrosia, The Commerce Subject Society of Motilal Nehru College, University of Delhi, where various speakers from different categories and unique backgrounds are invited to share their life stories and inspire young minds. This year marked the 7th edition of Inspiron. The event took place on 24th(Tuesday) and 25th(Wednesday) of January, 2023 within the college premises.

Ambuj Saxena

Mr. Ambuj Saxena, is the co-founder of Social Buzz and BnB Nation. In his well-versed session, he carried the audience away through his life experiences, challenges and how he overcame them. He also communicated with the students about startups and the working of the business world. He talked about how entrepreneurs create jobs and have creative liberties and how this is the right time to step into the entrepreneurship.

Anil Malik

Lieutenant General Anil Malik. He was a part of the ministry of external affairs and has served the army for about 4 decades. He talked about the life of an army man and the hardships the soldiers go through. He also shared some insightful moments from his missions during his time in the army.

Nandini Agarwal

CA Nandini Agarwal as the fisrt speaker of that day. She described how she completed her CA preparations entirely online and through self-study. She discussed the importance of self-assurance and being certain about one’s goals. She served as an example to everyone that anything is possible, despite of having few resources, with just pure determination and perseverance. Her life stories and CA talks inspired everyone.

Gaurav Bidhuri

World Boxing Championship medalist Mr. Gaurav Bidhuri. He described what a true sportsman is and how he or she can bravely overcome the difficulties and obstacles along the way. Boxing, according to Gaurav, is not just a physical or a verbal battle but also a battle of the mind and the body.

Aanya Wig

Ms. Aanya Wig, a graduate of Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, and the founder of the NGO ‘Her Haq’. She expressed her desire for people to view women as. She discussed the obstacles women experience while trying to enter the workforce and how she is attempting to overcome them. Amid the second covid outbreak, she founded the Covid Fighters India group. She inspired the youth to act for a social cause.

Vishal Malhotra

Mr. Vishal Malhotra, an actor, was the next speaker of  Inspiron 7.0. He talked about his love of expression, diversity in the acting world, and, most importantly, amusing others. He told that failure is a person’s best friend and that one should value constructive criticism while still trying to carve one’s own path. He clarified that trolling should never be taken seriously because its participants seek attention and have no malicious intentions.

Sujoy Mukherjee

Sujoy Mukherjee, a renowned filmmaker of movies like Hum Hain Kamaal Ke, ‘Pyaar Pyaar and Ab Mujhe Udna Hai, was the last speaker of the event. He mentioned in his session that he makes connections between his films and real life because he wants to uplift and encourage people to fully enjoy their lives. He talked about his decision of pursuing his passion for filmmaking instead of pursuing his dream of being a sportsman. He acknowledged that his mother and his family serve as his primary sources of inspiration.
