Industrial Visit

For providing a handful experience of how the diamond industry works, The Department of Commerce, Motilal Nehru College, University of Delhi organised an Industrial Visit to STPL Ltd. on September 29th, 2021. It was carried out in virtual mode. Over 90 commerce graduation students attended it. 

Incorporated in 1993, STPL is engaged in developing cutting edged technological solutions for the diamond industry.

The visit included a tour of their entire work place located in Surat, Gujarat. The entire process of how diamond is procured, how it is made to different shapes and sizes using the lazer technology was explained in detail. 

The one and half hour visit ended with a Question and Answer session in order to address all the queries that students had.  The visit was appreciated by many and everyone as it gave an exposure on an entirely different industry.
